A watery grave

She sinks in the waters that envelop the Thin White Queen

Alone and comfortable she descends to the depths unseen

By moral eyes that ignore and reject her reign

As the assaults happen repeatedly again and again.

She succumbs to the pressure and sinks in mortal night

Falling free-fall into the shadows of a steely light

All hope is gone and none are there to see

The demise of the Thin White Queen in me

She passes suddenly into night and empty space

Stricken with the grief that quickens her heart apace

Driving her down into death for very certain

Drowning in the sea of sorrow and by all forgotten

Her holy Lord has seen her fall – the Black King

He watches over her bed and with faithfulness does sing

Of her love for Him, which draws her back from the brink

And gives her a ray of hope to make her think

Only a God can fill the gaping gap left by man

Who pursued her to death and left her pale and wan

She now triumphant over all her salient foes

Into the glory of the Black King goes…
