How is love manifest to us in our day?

Because the Man from Heaven came to stay

Took a body as his personal own

Left all behind even His mighty throne.

Condescended to come down to us

Low and sinful overtaken with lust

Wanting everything having lost it all

Squandered away in the final fall.

The Man of glory climbed the tree

To secure salvation for you and me

Paid the price once and for all

So that when we respond to His call

We would come and put the faith given 

Hiding ourselves in the side now riven

To conquer all our putrid misdeeds

And ensure our life to heaven leads.

He did it all with a pure and loving heart

So that you and I would have a part.
