Black Crows

He hovers over the Black Crows

They know power more than he knows

Up and down the board they glide

Waiting for their Queen’s slide.

Menacing and dark their castle are

Never once to brighten a star

Loveless, lifeless rooks and ravens

Keeping us all out of the heavens.

Break the bonds of chains so free

Duped and hopeless chickeree.

Hoping no one will intimidate

Cowards all with mouth agape.

Leave then loitering in the back row

Their own agenda they will soon show

Murder and mayhem most foul

Given up for dead their immortal soul.
