Fallen

The King has fallen into darkness overcome by the foe

She stands over him longing ready for the arms to throw

Around her fragile body – he who left her now is dead

Conquered by the enemy and lost his lovers bed.

Who will love this frail and longing Queen so wild

Lost so suddenly without friend or love beguiled

He overcame her long ago and lingered by her side

She stand alone now, facing life without her love allied.

As she weakens to the fateful prophetic dream

Her eye lifts with her heart in life’s ever-flowing stream

She must carry on and not let her love drift

For another day she herself will find the shift

To another realm for away where her love has gone

Her heart beats again and her powerful mind is strong.

The King has gone, but not the Queen

Alone she stand authority now her mortal screen

To protect her psyche and her love to remember true

All other future loves she will now ever eschew

Come, my loving master, live in me again

You have been my portion and will be now my tragedienne

I will overcome all ill, regret, disappointment and past, shame

Living life as was meant to live it over and over again.
