Into Her own

The Thin White Queen has come into her own

Her confidence and psyche have exponentially grown

Into the faith and trust in her lover The Black King

Who has taught her all she knows and will bring

Into the arena of life to show all who quibble

At one so defeated reduced and with heart-trouble

That has weighed her down but no more

She stands alone on a far distant shore

From all who have neglected and reduced

Her love to nothing but a concept produced

By bigotry, snobbery and all that is unholy

Rejected by her as one so lowly

Never again to need the praise of human folly

But upright living in heaven’s open beauty

That will last forever in her psyche and in rest

The only one, the brightest and the best.
