Nothing in between

“There’s nothing,” said the White Queen

“To life and death,” as she hovered between

Giving up the right to rule them all

Succumbing to the Black King she did fall

Away from her royal throne

Cut to the quick and the bone

She sank into the depth of the darkened sea

And all the holy light did flee.

He took her pale hand and raise her

Like a mighty ship from the depths there

Lifting her up beside his throne above

Where she will find love and prove

That love conquers all in life and death

And goes beyond the final breath…
