The Rook’s Crow bends her heart away from the good

Leads her into death’s cruel path as he manipulates and would

Kill her soul and rob her of life’s content

He the heart of darkness as a shadow bent 

His power is huge above all human understanding

His effect is deep in the psyche of comprehending

His victory is sure in all who to him acquiesce 

And he leads them into darkness and increasing deep distress

The heart of darkness will ever hold sway 

Over all who bow their knees to his evil way

We need to find victory through the ways of light

And leave the kingdom of pain and darkest night

Come Black King – over all hold ultimate sway

Save us from the death that ever stalks our puny way

Lead us into the light of Thy true and living peace

And spiritual light and strength give us to increase
