The Virgin Queen

Once loved, now a distant memory

The Virgin Queen waits patiently

Maybe love will one day hence return

Or perhaps she will in sorrow and tears daily burn

He didn’t come back to collect his bride

She waited for him in his car to ride

To drive her far away from the gloom

That settled daily through every room

Visit after visit to a refuge so rough

Time after time it was never enough

To block the pain of loosing her heart

And the hurt she caused and the unbearable smart.

Yet she survived the waves of loves constant onslaught

Living alone and in peace now unsought

Growing in power and love from above

Seeking a family full of power and love…
