The Two of Diamonds

Money isn’t everything, but it’s sometimes something

Burns a hole in you pocket, but one final thing

It doesn’t answer back, argue or disagree

It can buy you stuff and take you on a spree

Diamonds are not forever, they will perish too

Along with all the belongings in the final coup

When God takes back all that He has given

And we are taken up to our palace in heaven

We won’t say goodbye, but welcome home to me

We’ll bow at the feet of the Man on the cruel Tree

Who paid the highest price to give us everything

Complete forgiveness costing us nothing

Money is necessary in this mortal life

But often brings greediness, heartache and strife

The Two of Diamonds will never see you right

Check out the Ace of Hearts, He’ll take you out of sight.
