Jack the Gravedigger

You are not coming are you?

You are just a man after all…

No one is up to the challenge

To conquer the Thin White Queen

She waits for you and the spade to strike

Her down in loves respite.

Only a break from the drudgery of life

The constant ordinariness of this strife

Too much effort too much fight

Under the sun and all night

Sleep comes and the indolent spell

Will quicken her senses and soul as well.

You are the gravedigger firm and sure

Keeping her wayward pathway pure

Keep in check the wandering thoughts

Rampant emotion and heightened shots.

Jack of Hearts

The Jack of Hearts he makes me wait

Waiting for the outcome of my love fate

Talking about nothing and keeping me at arms length

Underneath I believe a great strength

Waits to envelop me in powerful loving arms

Putting to grief the love of others charms

Come, loving Jack change your ways

Come and in my life find that you can stay

An easy life and simple glide down the road of love

Transporting us both into realms up and above

Do not fail me, fight for your cause

This waiting time is just a pregnant pause

As love breathes and finds her permanent level

As leaves on the tree find their way to the end

Of the branches and other growing parts to send

Between you and me, my Jack, Jack of Hearts…

Riding in

On noble beast he rides with honour

To catch his lady-love with another

Friendly repost and joyous conversation

Over the days to the consumation.

A coffee, a talk and time together

Chatting about interests and whatever

The noble steed stands waiting to run

The honourable man into the sun.

She waits and waits but no reply

Her hopes of friendship live and die

Everyday she waits for him

Never again will the night time win

Give her some room and courteous call

The sensual desire to one and all

A child at heart and longing for closeness

To escape the grip of a soul psychosis…

Treason

To infiltrate the mighty kingdom

A ransom to hold over her powerful domaine

A calling so flawed it defies belief

As obvious and graceless as a falling thief.

He carps and quivers in coat and hat

Standing so rampant in this and that

She understands his moral frame

A motivation so wan and lame.

“Kiss me,” he commands with foolish jib

She knows he comes with justice lied

She stoops to give the final aside

Knowing that all love has died.

Who can quibble with one so weary

Of loves gullible strength so leery

Leaves behind a sinful marker

Of foolish pride and intention darker…

Inner Sanctum

They infiltrate the inner sanctum at their own risk

She the vengeance will call down with mighty brisk

Covered by the power of the great Creator

He has formed her whole and in beauty made her.

To countenance disturbing the royal rest

Is folly and she will retribution seek at her behest

He will listen to her emotion laced calls

And her prayers will reverberate in heaven’s halls.

You cannot win over one so small and powerful

She is a daughter of the King most wonderful

Fall to your knees and give her joyful praise

For only God can speak into her mind with holy lays.

Alone

She walks alone without a soul-mate

Not looking for anyone for no one is great

Walking casually through the thick and the thin

Knowing which one is her native help spin.

They come and go and flit and swim

She is looking only for one – just Him

Who never leaves and always stays

Singing to her with love’s lays

Come to me my Saviour dear

Then I never more will fear

The cold of night and the warm of day

For with you I will forever stay.

Magnificent glide

She glides along the city streets in a long white coat

Assured of her destiny her soul does gloat

Over the overlooking of the Sun of her soul

Watching as along the pavement she does

roll.

The flowing robe of righteousness can almost be seen

Protected and helped by a hand always unseen

Men look at her with wondering eyes

A woman so alone and so despised.

Left- abandoned and neglected by the white king

He has lost his grip and can no longer sing

She is rejected because her song is always heard

Across the streets of doom and forever adored.

Heaven’s hosts look on with wondering eyes

At one so singly put aside and subject of so many lies

Gossip and misogyny have stripped her bare

But she alone is the only one who will dare

To put an end to the pretence and woe

As onward in her holy quest she will go.

Triumphant slide

She glides and slides around the palace of gold

Every slip makes her lose her hold

On things that cannot be held on to anyway

Tightening her grip on the things that forever stay.

She lets them go, one by one

They dance away merrily to everyone

Who wants a piece of the Thin White Queen

She’s going yonder to more pastures green.

Give her homage, honour due

For she, all wrong, does now eschew

Grasping tightly to the eternal inheritance

Laid up for her in her kingdom residence.

None can touch this extravagant hoard

For treasure laid up in the eternal board

Kept there for her as her treasurer trove

None below in this weary place only kept in love

Far above the clouds and realism of darkness

She glides and slides full of holy goodness

This her destiny and motivation

This her joy and souls elation….

Heartgiven

Her heart belongs to Him, from morn to even

Never a ripple of rancour between them

Total peace and the joy of complete protection

From an enemy seen and unseen in revelation

Bold and brave she marches on and on

Into territory unknown and untried or walked on

She will never stop even walking into eternity

Now a member of His women’s particular fraternity

She is loved beyond loving and adored by Him

She worships the ground that He stands and walks in

Follow the pathway wherever it leads

Never a qualm or a worry will ever succeed

In bringer her down in a moment of fear or hurt

Heartbroken, but mended and no sign of the dirt

That was dished out to her by the close and the stranger

Only serving to make her strong and unafraid of danger

Boldly going on with the King of the Black

Not a single need is her daily lack

He will hold her fast and keep her true

Giving up all others for her love so powerfully bestrew

With the diamonds of passion and the pearls of delight

Strung around her waist to heaven’s pure light.

Rattlin’

I hear the rails a-rattlin’ the train is coming soon

Could be morning, midnight or even in the light of noon

The train will come and get me and take me to my home

Where I will be forever safe and trouble never comes.

I sit upon the padded seat, I ride in silence dim

I’m waiting and I’m waiting to find me honourable him

Who will be my comfort and protector in this my mortal life

Far away from loneliness and all forms of fleshly strife.

I glimpse one sight of love so strong and bold

Over my mind and heart it has a vice-like hold

I look for things I’ve never known or had,

I wait for him for in sorrow – I am sad.

True love has passed me over once but maybe once again

I will be able to sing of love and loves emotional refrain

Bringing me into life again with people I have loved

Keeping me immortal and my truthfulness proved.
